What's the difference between FREE and DatePrize ADs?

With Free ADs the Dater and DateMatcher work directly with each other.

Since DatePrize ADs involve money - we collect from Daters then payout funds to DateMatchers.

Why do Daters offer a DatePrize?

To get more people interested in their AD, a little incentive goes a long way. It's the Dater's way of saying, 'thanks for helping me find someone'.

What are Charity DatePrize ADs?

Same as DatePrize ADs, but 50% of the DatePrize is sent to a charity of your choice.  Daters get a Date, DateMatchers win some cash and everyone helps others while having fun!

Why / What are the fees?

We decided to charge modest fees on DatePrize ADS only. The more profiles we post the lower fees we can charge - please tell your friends!

For specific fees see the Freebies, Fees, Payouts and Refunds link.

How does DatePrize.com payout funds?

Generally funds are paid out in the method paid to DatePrize; for example, if you paid by credit card or PayPal for a DatePrize AD, you will receive a credit via credit card or PayPal.
If you've won a DatePrize, funds will be sent by PayPal or we can arrange another payment - like sending you an online gift certificate to use at various retailers.

How much can I win per DateMatcher AD / How much will be refunded per AD?

See this Schedule. (Payout Schedule) It shows how much you can win PER DatePrize level, and how much Daters will receive as refunds.

For Charity DatePrize ADs, simply divide the amounts in the schedule by 50%.

Why are there Guidelines to follow for DatePrize ADs?

DatePrize is an interesting way to find a date or match someone you know - all online - and it might be a new concept to some.   So everyone knows what to expect, the Guidelines show what is, and isn't, the way to post ADs or Matches. Please review them.

For DatePrize ADs, what happens if the Dater doesn't select any Matches for the AD?

That's the great part. Daters get some of their DatePrize back; DateMatchers will get at least some of the DatePrize - just for their efforts.  Everyone wins.  See the Freebies, Fees, Payouts and Refunds section for more.

What if I don't receive any Matches or don't select any Matches on DatePrize ADs?

If you didn't receive any Matches, sorry to hear that - the good news is you get up to 95% of your DatePrize back. If you received Matches but decided not to select any, you get up to 70% of your DatePrize back. See the Freebies, Fees, Payouts and Refunds  page.

Why can't I change my AD once posted?

If someone has posted a Match and the Dater changes what their looking for, it wouldn't be fair (or easy) for a DateMatcher to keep searching for new Matches based on changing information.  It's best to END the AD and post a new one.

Do I need to know the person I am Matching?

Yes and No. The better you know them the better you can match them.  As long as you have received their permission, DateMatchers can post any person they deem to be a good Match for the Dater.  For example, you might know about your cousin's friend and rely of your cousin to tell you what a great person they are.  So even though you don't know them well, you know enough about them.

How do I know the Dater will pay the DatePrize?

All Daters pre-pay DatePrize.com first, so we can guarantee DatePrize money is available.

Can ADs be changed once posted?

No. We require Daters to keep the same AD up or END it and post a new one. It would not be fair to DateMatchers to post Matches only to have the Dater keep changing what they're seeking. This is especially true for DatePrize ADs.
